Accelerant-related burns and drug abuse: Challenging combination.

The authors Leslie Leung and Anthony Papp present their findings of a retrospective case control study of accelerant related burns in one burn care centre compared to non accelerant related burns. They found that accelerant related burns represented 28% of their burn population. This group had higher association with  a history of drug abuse, %TBSA, ventilator support, ICU and pneumonia rates.
